Everyday, either after fajr, in the morning or the night before, write a set of goals that you want to complete for the day. Make a schedule for what you’re going to do throughout the day, and in it make sure you set aside time to recite daily litanies/salawat/dhikr and time to read the holy Qur’an. This will force you to stay productive and manage your time appropriately, while staying in line with your deen. At the end of each day, check the goals that you’ve completed and reflect. Did you use your time wisely?
But in my one desire to know You,
All else melted away."
If a person has ugly thoughts, it begins to show on the face. And when that person has ugly thoughts every day, every week, every year, the face gets uglier and uglier until you can hardly bear to look at it.
A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely."
